Job TitleInspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference.Job SummaryCoordinates and performs finishing, including painting, staining, sheetrock, plaster, and metal work. Installs/repairs flooring/wall coverings. Works independently with minimal supervision.Essential FunctionsAll team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the differenceRepairs damaged walls and uses the appropriate paints to match areas and meet quality standardsInspects work of outside contractors for quality of work, both ongoing and completed, and reports status to assigned supervisor.Attends construction meetings on major jobs or renovations as needed.Inspects on-going construction/renovations reports findings to Facilities/Planning and supervisor.Orders material for finishing and cabinetry.Restores furniture and fabricates with glass and plastic.Schedules and assigns work to be done in conjunction with assigned supervisor.Estimates and orders all materials needed to complete jobs.May perform any or all of the following: cut stencils and stencil surfaces with lettering or decorations; paint signs on such surfaces as cloth, bulletin boards, etc.Performs other duties as assigned.Supervisory/Management ResponsibilitiesThis is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.Minimum RequirementsEducation - High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferredExperience - Two (2) years minimum experience with interior and wall finishing materials. Wall covering, flooring material, drywall installation, and painting experience preferred.
