Finishing Associate / Finishing Machine Associate (Night Shift)Nesco Resource is seeking detail-oriented Finishing Associates / Finishing Machine Associates to support optical filter manufacturing operations in West Henrietta, NY. This temp-to-perm opportunity provides candidates with the chance to build a long-term career in precision manufacturing while gaining hands-on experience in a clean, high-tech production environment.Working under the guidance of a Finishing Team Leader, associates will perform a variety of glass processing and finishing operations, inspect products, take precise measurements, and ensure finished components meet strict quality and production standards. This role is ideal for individuals with strong attention to detail, excellent manual dexterity, and an interest in precision equipment and advanced manufacturing processes.Pay Rate: $18.00 - $21.00/Hour (Based On Exp.) + 10% Shift Diff. ($19.80 - $23.10/Hour)Shift: 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM | Monday - Friday. All New Employees Will Train From 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM OR 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM For Approx. 4 - 6 Weeks; POTENTIAL FOR EXEMPTIONJob Duties:Perform glass processing and finishing operations, including: core drilling, dicing, laser marking, unwaxing, hand, semi-automatic, and automatic beveling, cleaning and other glass finishing processesOperate and assist with precision finishing and processing equipmentTake precise physical and visual measurements using specialized tools and equipmentInspect finished products to ensure quality standards and specifications are metIdentify nonconforming materials and place appropriate product holdsEscalate production delays, defects, and quality concerns to leadershipFollow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and safety requirementsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe workstationCollaborate with team members to meet daily production, quality, and schedule requirementsSupport manufacturing schedules and productivity expectationsPerform repetitive precision tasks while maintaining consistent quality and accuracyRequirements:High School Diploma or GED requiredBasic computer proficiencyBasic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and divisionAbility to read, understand, and follow technical work instructionsStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and hand-eye coordinationGood visual acuity and ability to distinguish color and quality variationsAbility to work effectively in a team-based manufacturing environmentComfortable performing repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standardsAbility to sit or stand for extended periodsMust be eligible to work in an ITAR-registered facilityWillingness to work assigned shifts and overtime as neededPreferred Qualifications:Previous experience with glass processing, glass substrate processing, or optical manufacturingExperience with cleaning, finishing, or product inspectionMachine shop experience or familiarity with precision manufacturing equipmentExperience operating dicing equipment or similar machineryFamiliarity with subjective quality systems used in optical product inspectionStrong verbal and written communication skillsPhysical Requirements:Ability to sit or stand for extended periods throughout the shiftFrequent use of hands for precision handling and detailed workAbility to perform repetitive motions while maintaining quality and productivity standardsStrong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordinationAbility to lift and move light materials as neededAbility to work comfortably in a clean manufacturing environmentNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
