Job description
Finishing OperatorThe Finishing Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring equipment used in the final stages of the production process. This role ensures that products are completed to quality standards, properly packaged, and ready for shipment. Tasks may include trimming, folding, binding, labeling, inspecting, and packaging materials based on job specifications.Key Responsibilities:Operate finishing equipment such as folders, cutters, laminators, binders, or labelers depending on the product typePerform setup, adjustments, and calibration of machines to ensure optimal outputInspect finished products for defects, quality, and adherence to customer specificationsPackage, label, and prepare completed items for shipment or storagePerform basic maintenance and cleaning of finishing equipmentRecord production data, job progress, and material usageCollaborate with other departments (e.g., quality control, shipping) to meet deadlinesFollow company safety policies and procedures at all timesMaintain a clean and organized work areaSuggest improvements to workflow, quality, or safety as appropriateQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent (required)Experience in a finishing or manufacturing role (preferred)Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skillsStrong attention to detail and quality standardsAbility to follow written instructions, work orders, and technical drawingsPhysical stamina to lift, stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasksAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWorking Conditions:Fast-paced production environmentMay involve exposure to noise, dust, or chemicals depending on the facilityStanding and repetitive motion throughout shiftOccasional overtime or shift work depending on production need
