This role is responsible for managing day-to-day finishing operations while driving safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement.Why Work at MCCSalary: $68,000 - 75,000Generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and 401(k)Paid holidays:New Year's DayMemorial DayFourth of JulyLabor DayThanksgiving & Day After ThanksgivingChristmas Eve & Christmas DayTwo floating holidaysKey ResponsibilitiesOperations LeadershipManage the day-to-day activities of the Finishing departmentsServe as a highly skilled, hands-on operations champion focused on safety, quality, delivery, and customer satisfactionImprove efficiency of manpower and materials while maintaining safety as the top priorityMonitor operational performance through company reports and key metricsLead shift meetings, determine performance standards, and drive accountability to achieve company goals and objectivesPlanning & Continuous ImprovementAssist in evaluating current and proposed systems, procedures, and workflowsRecommend changes when necessary and assist in the implementation of new processesPlay a significant role in short- and long-term planning initiatives focused on operational excellenceDevelop and maintain capacity planning strategies to ensure schedule attainmentProactively identify, analyze, and resolve operational issues with contingency planningPeople Leadership & DevelopmentPerform all employee management functions in accordance with company policiesFoster and maintain a favorable, harmonious working relationship with employeesTrain, coach, and mentor associates, supervisors, and other direct reportsEnsure subordinates support applicable initiatives for their teams in alignment with management policiesSupport cross-functional collaboration across departmentsProfessional Development & Special ProjectsMaintain industry, professional, and technical knowledge through networking, industry events, and professional publicationsParticipate in special projects and perform other duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum of High School degree, with some college education preferredRequires 5 plus years of progressively responsible experience, including scheduling and real time operations managementStrong experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain or FulfillmentMust have Lean Manufacturing experienceDemonstrated Change Management leadership skillsExcellent strategic thinking skillsSolid ability to manage multiple prioritiesStrong teamwork, communication, and organization skillsExceptional problem resolution and analysis skillsAttention to detail and a strong focus on safety and qualityPrior experience with cross-functional teamsMinimal travel as necessaryDiversity & InclusionMCC fosters an inclusive culture that respects and embraces our teammates' diverse backgrounds and experiences, so that everyone can achieve their full potential here.
