Job description
Blade Finishing Process RolePerform a variety of tasks in the finishing process of the blade.Roles and ResponsibilitiesGrinding blade to work instruction specifications.Grind between quality marks and apply gelcoat to designated locations.Matting to give blades a clean finish.Painting and sandingApply tape to edge of blade to avoid overspray of gel coat.Apply auto mask to the shell of the blade.Apply filler/mud to the lead edge of the blade, then scrape of excess so all voids are filled.Turn the blade utilizing machine.Wear designated personal protective equipment and follow all health and safety guidelines.Maintain 5s standards.Required QualificationsAbility to lift or carry objects or materials up to 40 lbs.Ability to push/pull heavy objects.Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete floors.Ability to work with hands for an extended period.Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery.Requires usage of respirator.Desired CharacteristicsHigh School Diploma/GED or related experience.Previous manufacturing experience.Position Shift: Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pmFor candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the base pay for this position is $22.88-$27.50.GE Vernova offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
