Fire Alarm Install TechnicianHot JobCornet - Winchester, VA 22602OverviewPosition Type Full TimeJob DescriptionFire Alarm Install TechnicianSummaryResponsible for fire alarm installations, retrofits, and tenant build-outs, identifying code and non-conformance issues, and preparing accurate and timely field reports.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Perform commercial electrical installations, service, and maintenanceInstall conduit, pull wire, terminate electrical and low-voltage devicesInterpret electrical and fire alarm drawings, blueprints, and specificationsEnsure work is completed to code (NEC, NFPA 70; NFPA 72 if applicable)Communicate effectively with foremen, project managers, and inspectorsMaintain clean and safe work areas and proper documentation of work performedEducation and/or Experience2+ years of experience as a commercial or industrial electricianStrong understanding of electrical systems, including conduit installation, wiring, and terminationsAbility to read and interpret electrical and construction drawingsFamiliarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC)Valid driver's license and a clean driving recordProfessionalism, reliability, and attention to detailPreferred:Experience installing or assisting with fire alarm systemsFamiliarity with NFPA 72 and local fire codesLow-voltage license or NICET certification (or willingness to obtain)OSHA 10 or 30 certificationCompany OverviewCornet, who joined Century Fire Protection in 2020, delivers innovative, industry-leading fire protection & building analytics solutions.
