Fire Extinguisher Shop TechnicianState Fire is a trusted name in fire protection, keeping businesses and people safe across multiple states. We install and service fire alarms, suppression systems, security solutions, and more. Right now, we're looking for a Fire Extinguisher Shop Technician to join our team.Experience is great, but not required—we provide full training. If you're willing to learn, we're willing to teach!What You'll DoInspect, service, and recharge fire extinguishers to NFPA 10 standardsHandle dry chemical powder recovery and refillingPerform basic weight, pressure, and component checksIdentify damage, corrosion, or compliance issuesOperate recharge equipment safely and keep the work area cleanTag, label, and document serviced extinguishersFollow safety procedures and assist shop or field teams as neededWhat You NeedAbility to use hand and battery-operated tools.Comfortable working independently and managing time efficiently.Strong communication skills in English—both written and verbal.Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.Ability to pass a background check and drug test.Willingness to work occasional overtime and travel overnight when needed.Obtain a Utah Fire Extinguisher License within 60 days of hirePhysical RequirementsWork on ladders, scaffolding, and stairs.Lift and carry up to 70 lbs.Work indoors and outdoors in various conditions.What We OfferCompetitive pay depending on skills/experience.Health, dental, and vision insurance.401K with company match.$50K life insurance policy.Paid time off.About State FireWhat started as a small three-person operation has grown into a top fire protection provider, serving Idaho, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, Texas, Colorado, Wyoming and more.
