Job description
Security OfficerObserves and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities. Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. Work requires the ability to stand for the majority of workday.FLOATERUp to USD $31.00/Hr.ResponsibilitiesMultiple tours of the facility during your shiftAbility to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitorsDemonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the publicProficient computer skills including Microsoft OfficeEffective oral and written communication skillsAbility to identify critical issues quickly and accuratelyMust be able to work overtime and weekendsAssist residents/customers with access control issuesTour the entire facility multiple times per shiftQualificationsValid T-89 OR F89 FDNY Fire Life Safety Director LicenseValid NYS Security Guard License Minimum 2 years Hotel FLSD experience. *Preferred*Associate or higher degree in a fire/security related field.
