Job Title: Fire Sprinkler Designer

nJob Description

nWe are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Designer with 2-5 years of experience. The role involves designing and developing fire alarm systems for commercial, industrial, and multi-family projects, ensuring compliance with NFPA, IBC, IFC, local AHJ requirements, and project specifications.

nResponsibilities

nnnPrepare detailed fire alarm layouts, riser diagrams, device placement drawings, calculations, and submittal packages, including product data, battery calculations, and sequences of operation.

nnCollaborate closely with project managers, estimators, engineers, and field personnel to ensure accurate system coordination and constructible designs.

n

nnReview architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings for project integration.

n

nnSelect appropriate fire alarm equipment and support permitting and AHJ approval processes.

n

nnRespond to plan review comments, implement design revisions, and contribute to design-build and value engineering efforts.

n

nnMaintain organized project documentation and deliver high-quality, code-compliant fire alarm system designs on time and within project budgets.

n nEssential Skills

nnnAssociate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Drafting, or related field.

n

nn2-5 years of fire alarm design experience.

n

nnStrong working knowledge of NFPA codes and local fire alarm requirements.

n

nnProficiency in AutoCAD or HydroCAD, and fire protection design software.

n

nnAbility to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

n

n nAdditional Skills & Qualifications

nnnRevit experience is preferred.

n

nnNICET certification is preferred.

nPay and Benefits

nThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.

nIndividual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
