Job description
Local 669 Sprinkler FitterSprinkler Fitters are specialized pipefitters in the fire protection industry. This position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing fire suppression systems in new construction and retrofit projects.Job ResponsibilitiesInstall fire suppression equipment in new and existing structuresPerform repairs to existing sprinkler systems, assessing impairments and determining corrective actionsInterpret and follow sprinkler system blueprints; recommend adjustments for site-specific needsFit and fabricate pipes on-site when requiredOperate hand, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools safely and effectivelyCollaborate with crew members and foreman; occasionally work independentlyTrain and mentor assigned apprenticesPlan ahead for labor and materials to keep projects on scheduleMaintain communication with superintendent and office staffEnsure compliance with fire codes, safety standards, and company policiesSafely drive company vehicles (must meet driving record standards)Job QualificationsJourneyman Sprinkler Fitter license (Local 669)Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving recordAbility to pass drug screening, background check, and driving record reviewStrong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skillsPhysical ability to climb ladders, lift equipment, and wear PPEOrganized and able to work in fast-paced environmentsMilitary discharge other than dishonorable (if applicable)Willingness to travel and work overtime as neededProficient in using phones, tablets, and other technology-based systemsCommitment to safety and continuous learningWhy Join Us?Be part of a respected, growing company dedicated to life safetyGain valuable career development through training and mentorshipJoin a culture built on teamwork, integrity, and customer care
