Fire Safety TechnicianAdvanced Fire Protection Services continues to grow. Are you ready for a career where you can make an impact? We are looking for motivated and coachable individuals who are interested in getting their foot in the door of the fire safety industry.$17.00- $22.00 hourly DOEJOB DESCRIPTION:ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Provide assistance with the repairing, maintaining and renovating of all types of fire protection systemsLoads and handles materials and equipmentWashes and maintains vehiclesAssist with equipment inspectionsAid with coordinating monitoring companies, fire departments and other authorities to avoid false alarms and unreported true alarmsAssist with report preparationHelp with requisitioning materials and equipmentAid in the servicing of systems per manufacturer's maintenance manual, the law, and the adopted Standards of the National Fire Protection AssociationAll other duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC:HS Diploma or equivalentValid Driver's LicenseAbility to be insured on company automobile insuranceAcceptable background check and drug screenREQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Basic arithmeticOperate the rigid machine (setup/takedown, cutting, threading, grooving, setting dies)Operate scissor liftOperate different types of laddersBasic knowledge/use of hand and power toolsAbility to multi-task by cutting pipe and hanger assemblies in a timely mannerAbility to learn good installation practicesBasic understanding of water based and dry systemAbility to interact with customers in a professional mannerThe ability to communicate in EnglishCOMPANY BENEFITS:MedicalDentalVisionLife Insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time offEEO Drug Free Workplace
