Sprinkler System Service Technician Level 2Looking for highly motivated team members who want to be part of a leading fire protection company. Must be dependable, self-starter, with a "Can Do" attitude to work efficiently within our fast-paced environment. Work with a team of professionals. Competitive pay with excellent earning potential and great benefits. $22 -$40 per hour/DOE.The function of the Sprinkler System Service Technician Level 2 is to repair, maintain and renovate of all types fire protection systems to include intermediate field coordination, planning, and expediting of service orders and communication of job status to key AFPS staff.Essential Job Functions:Repair, maintain and renovate all types of fire protection systemsLoad and handle equipment as neededInspect equipmentCoordinate with monitoring companies, fire departments and other authorities to avoid false alarms and unreported true alarmsPrepare reportsRequisition materials and equipment anticipating future needsService systems per manufacturer's maintenance manual, the law, and the adopted Standards of the National Fire Protection AssociationComplete follow-up documentationPrepare proposalsMust be able to perform the essential functions of the position with not more than 75% supervisionMinimum Qualifications, Education, Experience, Licenses, Etc:HS Diploma or equivalentValid Driver's LicenseAbility to be insured on company automobile insuranceAcceptable background check and drug screeningBASA and FASA Certification1 year in related fire protection industry OR 3 years' experience in similar industryRequired Skills and Abilities:Basic knowledge of code (NFPA 13,14,20,24,25)Intermediate knowledge of sprinkler head and hanger spacing, hazard classifications and obstructionsIntermediate knowledge of different types of sprinkler systems such as wet, dry, and antifreeze systemsAbility to read plans, specifications, proposals and technical manufacturer's dataCapable of installing undergroundBasic understanding of standpipe and fire pump systems installations and operationComplete simple work orders with little supervisionBasic ability to manage personnel in the fieldAbility to interact with customers in a professional mannerThe ability to communicate in EnglishBenefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, Life Insurance, Long and Short Term Disability, 401(k) with Company match and paid time off.EEODrug Free Workplace
