Build your career with the industry-leading fire, life safety and security company.The Sprinkler Service Technician independently performs service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems. This position requires demonstrated technical competency and the ability to complete standard jobs without direct supervision. The technician may be considered at a Journeyman level and is expected to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:System Installation: Installing new fire sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, foam, and special hazard systems, and ensuring proper placement according to blueprints and technical specifications.Inspection and Testing: Conducting routine inspections, flow tests, and system checks to verify functionality and compliance with NFPA standards and local fire codes.Maintenance and Repairs: Troubleshooting system issues, repairing or replacing faulty components such as sprinkler heads, pressure gauges, and backflows, and performing preventive maintenance.Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate electronic records of installations, inspections, and repairs, and preparing detailed reports on system deficiencies.Emergency Response: Performing emergency service calls to address system failures or malfunctions promptly.Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete assigned tasks.Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.Accurately and timely complete required documentation and service reports.Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following safety procedures and company policies.Support and assist entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.Travel to job sites as required.Other duties as assigned by management.Education/Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician and strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems and service procedures.NICET Level I or above preferred.Must have a clean driving record and active driver's license (if driving is required).Other Duties:Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.Performs other duties assigned by management.Physical Requirements:Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.Ability to lift 50+ pounds.Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.Benefits and Perks:Excellent payMedical, dental, visionCompany paid life insuranceCompany paid short-term disability401K with employer matchPaid vacation and company holidaysTraining and Career DevelopmentCompany vehicle (if job applicable)Immediate qualification for the ALL In Ownership Plan for all eligible full-time employeesOur Commitment:Pye-Barker is built on four core values – customer-bias, trust, respect, and commitment – that serve as the north star for how we conduct business within our community and across our branches.
