Fire System InspectorAt Beach Lake Sprinkler Fire Protection Services, a division of the Davis-Ulmer Family of Companies, we have been delivering fire protection excellence since 1992. With offices in Beach Lake, PA and Brooksville, FL, we provide new construction, renovation, retrofit, and service solutions across warehouse, distribution, pharmaceutical, hospital, nursing home, industrial, residential, and retail markets. Living our motto, "we protect what you value most," Beach Lake Sprinkler Fire Protection Services offers a challenging and rewarding work environment for those passionate about keeping communities safe.We are currently seeking a Fire System Inspector in Honesdale, PA to perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesInspection and TestingConduct routine inspections and testing of fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems to verify proper operation.Identify deficiencies and ensure systems meet applicable codes and standards.Maintenance and RepairsPerform preventive maintenance and repairs on fire protection systems.Replace or repair defective components as needed.Code ComplianceEnsure all systems comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as NFPA and NEC standards.Customer ServiceCommunicate professionally with customers regarding system status, deficiencies, and recommended corrective actions.Safety ProtocolsFollow all safety procedures and protocols while performing inspections and repairs.RecordkeepingMaintain accurate records of inspections, tests, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or a degree is a plus.3-5 years of experience inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems.Strong knowledge of NFPA, NEC, and local codes.NICET certification (Fire Alarm and/or Water-Based Systems ITM) highly preferred.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.Excellent time management and organizational abilities.Strong communication and customer service skills.Proficient with testing tools and basic computer applications.Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying conditions.Manual dexterity required.Travel to job sites (commercial, industrial, and residential).Outdoor work with exposure to high noise, extreme temperatures, and dusty environments.The wage for this role is $20 to $30 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.As part of the DU Family of Companies, we believe that empowering and investing in our employees as leaders develops an organization that delivers innovative solutions and services that create a superior customer experience.
