Job description
Fire TechnicianLocation: Rockville, MDCompensationHourly pay (based on experience)Potential quarterly bonusesTime-and-a-half pay for all hours worked between 6 pm and 5 amPaid 4-hour minimum at time-and-a-half for emergency callsPaid 4-hour minimum at double time for emergency calls on recognized holidays, in addition to 8 hours of holiday payJob DutiesApply knowledge of NFPA codes, manufacturer guidelines, and local fire codes.Perform on-site emergency troubleshooting.Identify and document NFPA code and non-conformance issues.Maintain detailed documentation of work performed.Conduct fire marshal tests and inspections.Participate in on-call rotation as required.QualificationsValid driver's license with 3 or fewer points.Minimum 3 years licensed driving experience.At least 2 years' experience inspecting restaurant fire suppression systems.Strong knowledge of NFPA codes.Ability to work varied hours, including nights, early mornings, and weekends.Comfortable working on ladders (6–12 ft) and lifts.Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in confined spaces.Strong customer communication and documentation skills.Excellent attendance and organizational skills.Benefits401(k) with company matchMedical, dental, and vision insuranceCompany-paid short- and long-term disability insuranceCompany-paid life and AD&D insurancePre-tax health and dependent care accountsSupplemental insurance options (Aflac)Vacation, personal time, and paid holidaysTuition reimbursementCompany vehicleEqual Employment OpportunityAll qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to age, race, color, pregnancy, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, marital status, citizenship, disability, veteran status, or any other protected status under applicable law.
