Job description
First Christian Church of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, is seeking a full-time Children's Ministry Director to join our ministry team.
The Children's Ministry Director will provide leadership, vision, and oversight for a thriving children's ministry that helps young people become lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ.
This person will create environments, relationships, and opportunities that encourage kids to grow in their faith, develop meaningful connections, and actively live out the Gospel.
We are looking for someone who has a genuine passion for kids and a deep love for Jesus and his Church. The ideal candidate will be an engaging leader, a strong communicator, and a gifted organizer who can effectively balance relational ministry with administrative responsibilities. Most importantly, we hope to find someone who is spiritually mature, humble, self-motivated, dependable, and excited to serve as a collaborative member of a healthy ministry team.
First Christian Church is a growing congregation with an average weekly attendance of 1,300 people. Located in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, our church is served by a team of twelve full-time staff members, including eight pastoral staff, along with numerous part‑time support staff. Our campus also includes a thriving preschool and daycare ministry that serves families throughout our community. Elizabethtown is one of the fastest-growing communities in Kentucky, with a current population of approximately 35,000 residents. Significant economic development and new industry investments are expected to fuel substantial growth over the next several years, creating unique opportunities for ministry and outreach. As our community expands, we believe God is positioning our church to reach new families and raise up a generation of children who are deeply rooted in Christ and actively engaged in his mission.
