Welder/Fabricator – Entry to Mid-Level (Brownwood, TX)Company: Barr-TechsLocation: Brownwood, TXPosition Type: Full-Time | Shop-BasedPay Range: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour (DOE)Barr-Techs is hiring an Entry to Mid-Level Welder/Fabricator to join our Brownwood, TX shop team. This position is a great opportunity for someone with 1–3 years of experience who wants to sharpen their skills and grow into a lead fabricator or foreman role over time.We're looking for a motivated individual who values safety, takes pride in their work, and wants to build a long-term career in industrial fabrication. You'll assist with layout, fitting, and welding projects while learning from experienced welders and fabricators.Responsibilities:Assist with layout, cutting, fitting, and assembly of metal componentsPerform MIG and Stick welding under supervisionRead and interpret basic blueprints and fabrication drawingsUse hand tools, grinders, and cutting equipment safely and effectivelyInspect work for accuracy and qualityKeep a clean and organized work areaFollow all safety and shop proceduresRequirements:1–3 years of welding or fabrication experience (school or field)Basic knowledge of MIG, Stick, or Flux-Core welding processesAbility to read simple blueprints or willingness to learnMechanically inclined with a strong work ethicMust be safety-conscious, dependable, and eager to learnMust be able to pass a background and drug testPreferred:Welding certifications or trade school trainingOSHA 10 card (preferred, not required)Experience in a shop or industrial environmentBenefits:Hands-on training and career growth opportunitiesPotential to advance into a Leadman or Foreman positionCompetitive pay based on skill and performanceStable, locally based work environment with a strong safety culture
