Flatbed Die Cutter Operator 2nd ShiftProactive Packaging - Ontario, CA 91761OverviewSalary Range $25.00 - $28.00 Hourly Position Type Full Time Education Level None Travel Percentage None Category ManufacturingDescriptionSUMMARY: The Helper will assist the Machine Operator as needed throughout the shift.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCut all straps and remove all excess cardboard from sheets before entry into machine.Safely operate standard warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.Maintain a clean work area, machine, tools and equipment.Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs. Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment.Maintain inventories of items needed by operator.Perform quality control on own work.Assist Machine Operators as necessary.Duties may be expanded upon and additional duties may be assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.QualificationsSKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSManufacturing experience in the corrugated industry preferred.Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.Knowledge equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation.Read and interpret product layout and production specifications.PHYSICAL DEMANDSReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to handle or feel.The employee frequently is required to talk or hear.The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.Exposure to wet and humid conditions.Exposure to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and vibration.Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSNoneOTHER DUTIESPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
