Job description

Fleet Equipment CoordinatorThe Fleet Equipment Coordinator is responsible for supporting the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of Company equipment by coordinating preventative maintenance, conducting inspections, and evaluating equipment needs. The Coordinator manages vendor relationships and service estimates, ensures compliance with manufacturer requirements and applicable regulations, and works closely with the Safety Department to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.Company OverviewWith roots dating to 1891 and 8,500+ employees, MYR Group Inc. Our culture is built on shared values and mutual respect, where teamwork and collaboration occur naturally.Throughout our rich history, we have partnered with utilities, municipalities, commercial clients, and developers to deliver some of the largest and most complex projects, including new construction, upgrades, maintenance and repair for transmission, distribution and substation facilities, commercial and industrial electrical construction, emergency and storm restoration, clean energy, pre-construction services, and engineer-procure-construct (EPC) methods of project delivery.Essential FunctionsDevelop and implement in conjunction with team, systems for scheduling resources, providing preventative maintenance, inventory control and vendor evaluations, as well as operational proceduresSecure and analyze vendor quotes and estimates for services, tools, parts, and suppliesDevelop and maintain vendor list and continuously monitor overall quality of service providedCoordinate equipment transfers between project sitesMaintain an organized list of assigned equipmentProvide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment as neededKeep current on new technologies as they relate to management of equipment and apply accordinglyAssist with buy/sell/lease options and alternativesSchedule preventative maintenance for designated equipmentUnderstand and ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy proceduresDocument work performed by utilizing system software programsEnsure OSHA standards and company safety policies are complied with at all timesUnderstand and follow federal, state, and local regulationsCoordinate with safety department to ensure a safe work environment is maintainedOther duties as assignedRegular & predictable attendanceEssential Functions of this position are to be performed at a Company-designated office or field locationUnderstand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standardsQualificationsMinimum 3 years of experience in equipment managementMinimum 3 years of fleet experienceIntermediate experience with accounting database systemsValid driver's license requiredPreferred EducationAdvanced degree in Equipment Service Management, Automotive Management or similar field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degreeKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesProficient with computer systems as they relate to utilization of scheduling of manpower/resources, implementation of preventative maintenance programs, inventory management systemsProficiency with MS Office applicationsThorough knowledge of cost trackingStrong negotiation skillsStrong commitment to safetyExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsCompensation & BenefitsCommensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith.
