Overview
Position Type: Full Time Job Shift: Day Shift/1st Shift
Description
Position Summary: Perform mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on all company fleet vehicles, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and complete repairs on all types of vehicles
Perform preventative maintenance
Complete documentation
Responds to service calls
Maintain tools
Clean work area
Coordinate and monitor department repair and employee work schedules
Assist as needed with building maintenance
Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
High-School Diploma/GED
Must be 18 years of age
Automotive/Mechanical Trade or Vocational certification preferred
1+ years of mechanic experience on light and heavy equipment (i.e. tractor/trailers, forklift, and powered industrial trucks)
ASE Certification preferred
Have or be willing to obtain a valid Class A CDL
Valid driver's license and driving record within MVR policy guidelines

Work Environment: Shop environment with some parking lot and light roadside work

Frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling and squatting
Frequent balancing, climbing, sitting, and reaching
Ability to lift/carry Ability to push/pull Reports to: Fleet Supervisor
Job Status: Full-Time
FLSA Status: Hourly/Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: M-F with seasonal Saturdays as needed. 7a-4p Negotiable
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour based upon experience
