nHow You Can Make an Impact
nThe Fleet Support Technician is responsible for the general organization of the shop to ensure the safe and smooth operation of the fleet operations and related off-site locations. This person will be working closely with the shop foreman/superintendent to facilitate the management of all aspects of the shop area, including occupational and environmental health and safety, maintenance, and possible minor repair of vehicles as needed.
nHow You Will Contribute
nnnResponsible for the organization of the shop, including general maintenance and shop clean up.
n
nnCoordinate ordering, pickup, and distribution of parts for fleet.
n
nnLubricate and clean fleet equipment, apply decals, license plates, and registration.
n
nnSafely transport fleet equipment across jobsites, yards, and internal shop locations, travel if needed.
n
nnCode and submit all invoices with receipts to accounting.
n
nnLoad and unload material on/off of delivery trucks or company vehicles.
n
nnClean and organize shop work area: sweep and clean work surfaces, store parts, empty and discard garbage. Keep all hazardous waste materials organized and clean.
n
nnMay operate power-driven equipment that may be needed to maintain the yard; such as leaf blowers, weed trimer, and forklift.
n
nnMay perform minor repairs on equipment as directed.
n
nnComply with company and federal safety rules, policies and procedures to include wearing required safety equipment, PPE, responding to safety concerns and taking appropriate action.
n
nnMay be required to handle hazardous materials.
n
nnPerform other job-related duties as requested by your supervisor.

nnnKnowledge of the safe and proper use of equipment and tools.

nnStrong Organizational skills.

nnAble to maintain a clean, organized, and clutter free shop.

nnAbility to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule with minimal direction.

nnAbility to understand, follow and transmit written and verbal instructions.
n
nnAbility to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
n
nnValid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record and no driving restrictions, Class A preferred
n
n nYour Prior Experience
nnnRequired: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
n
nn Preferred: Certified to operate a forklift and front-end loader.
n
nnPreferred: Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in heavy/highway construction, inventory skills, and mechanically inclined.
n
n nOur Competitive Package
nPay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
nThis pay range is our competitive compensation at the time of this job posting. Your pay will be determined based on experience, education, skills, and applicable knowledge.
