What You'll Do as a Fleet Tech:
Maintenance & Repairs
Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled services on fleet vehicles.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues.
Complete oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, and other routine maintenance.
Troubleshoot vehicle problems and perform effective repairs.
Identify potential issues before they lead to costly breakdowns.
Inspections & Safety
Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure safety and operational readiness.
Verify vehicles meet company and safety standards.
Document findings and recommend necessary repairs.
Ensure vehicles are road-ready before returning to service.
Fleet Support
Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to keep vehicles available and on the road.
Prioritize repairs to minimize downtime.
Assist with urgent vehicle repairs when needed.
Support overall fleet reliability and performance goals.
Shop Operations
Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe.
Properly use and maintain tools and equipment.
Assist with parts inventory and shop organization.
Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance standards.
Qualifications of a Fleet Tech:
Preferred Experience
Experience as an Automotive Technician, Fleet Technician, Mechanic, Diesel Technician, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
Experience working on fleet vehicles, commercial vehicles, vans, or light-duty trucks preferred.
Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and repair software.
ASE certifications are a plus but not required.
Valid driver's license required.
