n nJob Description
nThe Fleet Technician is responsible for performing repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance on company fleet vehicles to include diesel and gasoline trucks, trailers, pallet jacks, forklifts and automobiles. The Fleet Technician is tasked with maintaining fleet according to DOT and other regulatory requirements to ensure safe, efficient and reliable operation of all company vehicles and equipment.
nEssential Duties & Responsibilities
nnnTroubleshoot, diagnose and perform repairs on company fleet vehicles
n
nnSchedule and conduct preventative maintenance
n
nnTest equipment to ensure proper functioning and performance
n
nnRespond to service calls
n
nnComplete required paperwork
n
nnMaintain clean and safe work area at all times
n
n nJob Requirements
nnnHigh school diploma, GED or equivalent required
n
nn1-3 years of experience in auto mechanics and heavy equipment repair required
n
nnClass A Commercial Driver’s License preferred
n
nnDriving record that meets company policy required
n
nnAutomotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification desirable
n
nnMust be able to supply automotive hand tools
n
nnBasic proficiency with computer applications
n
nnDemonstrated automotive, mechanical and technical aptitude
n
nnWorking knowledge of the methods, equipment and techniques used in vehicle repair and maintenance
n
nnMust have the ability to occasionally lift, push and pull 50+ pounds, reach above head height, squat, kneel, bend and reach
n
