nPosition Summary
nAs a Fleet Technician , you'll be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing company vehicles to ensure maximum safety, performance, and reliability. You'll work closely with the maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime and keep vehicles on the road.
nKey Responsibilities of a Fleet Technician:
nVehicle Maintenance & Repairs
nnPerform routine maintenance and preventative services on fleet vehicles.
nDiagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues.
nComplete oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, and other scheduled maintenance.
nTroubleshoot vehicle concerns and implement effective repair solutions.
nIdentify potential issues before they become major repairs.
n nVehicle Inspections
nnConduct thorough vehicle inspections to ensure safety and operational readiness.
nVerify compliance with company and regulatory standards.
nDocument inspection findings and recommend necessary repairs.
nEnsure vehicles meet quality and safety requirements before returning to service.
n nFleet Support
nnWork with operations and maintenance teams to maximize vehicle availability.
nPrioritize repairs to minimize vehicle downtime.
nAssist with emergency repairs as needed.
nSupport overall fleet performance and reliability goals.
n nDocumentation & Recordkeeping
nnMaintain accurate repair orders, maintenance records, and service reports.
nDocument inspections, repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
nEnsure all records are completed accurately and on time.
n nShop Safety & Organization
nnMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
nFollow all company safety procedures and best practices.
nProperly use tools, equipment, and shop resources.
nAssist in maintaining shop inventory and equipment.
n nWhat We're Looking for as a Fleet Technician:
nRequired Qualifications
nnExperience as a Fleet Technician, Automotive Technician, Mechanic, Auto Technician, Fleet Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, or similar role.
nStrong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repair procedures, and preventative maintenance.
nAbility to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
nAttention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
nValid driver's license.
nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.
nReliable work ethic and commitment to safety.
n nPreferred Qualifications
nnASE certifications or equivalent technical certifications.
nExperience working on high-volume fleet vehicles.
nFamiliarity with diagnostic software and modern vehicle technology.
