nUniFirst is seeking a reliable and hardworking Fleet Technician to join our UniFirst community. As a Team Partner in the Maintenance Department, you will be responsible for carrying out all corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance on fleet vehicles to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining fleet vehicles in a safe working condition meeting DOT or other regulatory requirements. At UniFirst we have a standard Monday - Friday work week with periodic and weekend overtime. We have an immediate opening and provide on the job training.

nWhat you’ll be doing :
nnnEnsure all assigned vehicles are properly registered and compliant with current plates, inspections, and documentation.
n
nnComplete all scheduled preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain fleet performance.
n
nnPerform corrective and predictive maintenance to ensure vehicles are in safe, roadworthy condition and meet DOT and other regulatory standards.
n
nnMaintain vehicle appearance to align with UniFirst branding and cleanliness standards.
n
nnKeep the garage clean, organized, and safe; source parts and monitor pricing for cost-effective, high-quality repairs.
n
nnAccurately track and manage maintenance tasks using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
n
nnPerform additional tasks as directed by leadership to support overall fleet operations.
n
n nQualifications
nWhat we’re looking for:
nnnHigh school diploma or GED preferred.
n
nnMust have or be able to obtain PA Class 7 State inspection License
n
nnPreferred to have a Class A CDL
n
nnMust be at least 21 years old.
n
nnAssociate’s degree from an accredited technical school or equivalent experience preferred.
n
nnValid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
n
nnMust meet all DOT regulatory requirements.
n
nnCDL license is a strong plus, preferred for performing road tests and servicing Class A vehicles
n
nnStrong diagnostic skills with GM drivability; diesel experience is a plus.
n
nnWillingness to work overtime and perform occasional road calls.
n
nn3 – 5 years of hands-on experience with medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including: Preventative Maintenance, tire & wheel service, air & hydraulic brake systems, drivetrain and suspension, electrical and A/C systems computerized diagnostics.
n
nnProficiency with diagnostic software and basic computer skills
n
nnAbility to lift up to 80 lbs. safely
