nPay range is $27.90 to $39.20 / hour BOE
nPosition Summary
nOn a flexible, as-needed basis, provides clinical services to all residents residing at Communities of Christian Living Communities (CLC). These services will include skilled nursing, assisted living, and/or rehabilitation services.
nRehabilitation Flex Team Members are exempt from a multiple-shift requirement, and are encouraged to cover needs at multiple sites as they are able.
nAssists physical therapists in providing physical therapy treatments and procedures. This role is as much about building genuine relationships with residents and colleagues as it is about clinical skill — we believe every person, team member and resident alike, brings unique strengths and perspectives that make our community stronger.
nEssential Duties
nnProvides services under the direction of a licensed physical therapist, working as a trusted partner within the care team.
nContributes to the physical therapist's effectiveness by identifying resident care issues and communicating them clearly.
nAdministers treatment programs for residents with attentiveness to their comfort and individual needs.
nDocuments resident care services according to approved medical and facility documentation procedures.
nPerforms therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises and instructing, encouraging, and assisting residents in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily living activities.
nBuilds rapport and trust with residents, taking time to understand what motivates and encourages each individual through their recovery.
nHelps residents in using supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
nInstructs and counsels residents by describing therapeutic regimens, sharing normal growth and development information, and promoting wellness and health maintenance.
nCollaborates closely with fellow team members, contributing to a supportive, inclusive workplace culture where diverse backgrounds and perspectives are welcomed and celebrated.
n nnQualifications:
Qualifications
nBasic Qualifications & Experience
nnEducation: Graduate of an accredited therapy program.
nExperience: 2–3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
nLicenses/Certifications: Current Physical Therapy Assistant state license; CPR certification.
nPhysical stamina to lift, transfer, and assist residents through physical activities.
nRequires frequent lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 50 lbs. unassisted, including assisting residents when needed.
nMust be able to communicate clearly with residents in person and over the phone.
nVisual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including visual examination of residents and reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
n nWorking Conditions / Physical Requirements
nnPosition requires medium-heavy physical work. Heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up more than 45 pounds of force repeatedly to move objects.
nIs subject to frequent interruptions.
nInteracts with residents, family members and visitors frequently.
