SOC OperatorAllied Universal is Hiring a Security Operations Center Operator to work at a Tech Company located in Santa Clara, Ca! The Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator is responsible for assisting company personnel in all concerns that pertain to safety and security for corporate locations around the globe. The individual will work in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment, monitoring several screens. The Operator will use a variety of tools that range from access control and alarm monitoring systems to various business intelligence sources, open-source media, Internet, and in-house tools. The Operator is required to detect, analyze, and alert others of any incidents which may impact the client's people, products, property, or brand image. These may range from extreme weather conditions, political instability, crime, terror, to technical failures.Pay: USD $25.40/Hr.Responsibilities:Investigate alarms and respond by sending security patrol, or alerting fire services or police as neededAssist company employees in all concerns that pertain to safety and securityMonitor travel safety and security of company's employeesConduct ongoing review of multiple systems and sources to detect potential risksNotify and coordinate corporate response by distribution of advisories and other communicationsCompile daily reports and incident reportsFollow procedures for managing a variety of incidents, from minor incidents handled at the local level to global crisesProvide back-up, support, and on-call function as neededQualifications (Must Have):Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experienceLicensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employmentValid driver's license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicleAs a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws; Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable lawsAs a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by lawNo prior experience requiredBe at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years, if armed)Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignmentsBe able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitorsDemonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the publicEffective oral and written communication skills; able to write informatively, clearly, and accuratelyActive listening and problem-solving skillsAssess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accuratelyMediate conflict with tact, diplomacyTeamworkAttention to detailPreferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic)Prior security, military, or law enforcement experienceBenefits:Medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insuranceCompany's retirement plansSeven holidays annually paid at time and a half, if worked40 hours of vacation after one year of employment at eligible work assignments; unused vacation is only paid out where required by law
