Plate MounterPrecision that powers every print.The Plate Mounter plays a key role in producing high-quality flexible packaging by ensuring printing plates are mounted accurately and efficiently for flexographic presses. This position is all about precision, preparation, and teamwork—setting the press up for smooth runs and top-tier results.When you're dialed in, the entire production line runs better.What You'll DoReview job instructions and confirm all materials (cylinders, plates, sticky-back, sleeves) are ready before setupMount plates with accuracy and consistency to ensure proper registration on pressSet up and operate mounting equipment in alignment with job requirementsInspect completed proofs for accuracy in layout, copy, and registrationFollow production schedules to prioritize and complete jobs on timeTrack and record job times and activities accurately in the systemCommunicate any discrepancies, concerns, or improvements to the Shift Leader or SupervisorPerform routine equipment checks, housekeeping, and assigned preventative maintenancePartner with Maintenance when repairs or issues ariseMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentSupport team operations by assisting in other areas as neededShare knowledge and support the development of less experienced team membersContribute ideas for continuous improvementPerformance ExpectationsUphold a strong safety culture with a goal of zero incidentsFollow GMP and food safety standards with no repeat violationsAchieve quality standards within first 90 days and maintain consistency thereafterMount plates efficiently (target: 15 minutes per plate by 90 days)Maintain 90% or greater efficiency in ongoing performanceFollow attendance expectations as outlined in company policyProperly care for equipment, ensuring zero damageWhat Makes You a Great FitStrong attention to detail and pride in precision workMechanical aptitude and comfort working with production equipmentAbility to read and interpret work instructions and measurementsExperience in printing, plate mounting, or manufacturing environments preferredComfortable with basic math, measurements, and equipment tools (micrometers, tape measures)Understanding of cylinder geometry and print setup concepts is a strong plusFlexible, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to jump in where neededClear communication skills and a continuous improvement mindsetWhy This Role MattersYou're the starting point of print quality.
