nPrime Air is seeking a highly skilled and vigilant Flight Monitor to join our dynamic team. This critical role is central to our commitment to delivering packages safely, efficiently, and reliably through our advanced drone fleet. The Flight Monitor will be responsible for real-time monitoring of drone flights, ensuring operational compliance, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
nKey job responsibilities
nnnContinuously monitor the status of all active drone flights within the assigned region, utilizing our state-of-the-art monitoring systems.
n
nnIdentify and respond to any deviations from planned flight paths or operational parameters.
n
nnEnsure all drone flights comply with regulatory requirements and company safety policies.
n
nnCoordinate effectively with the relevant teams to implement immediate response strategies to mitigate risks and resolve situations.
n
nnPrepare and submit detailed reports on flight activities, incidents, and anomalies. Provide feedback and insights to support continuous operational improvement.
n
nnUtilize excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills while maintaining a high attention to detail in all tasks.
n
nnDemonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills while working effectively in a high-pressure environment.
n
nnAdhere to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives and processes.
n
n nThis role requires the ability to carry/lift up to 50 lbs., stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach.
nThis role requires the ability to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays
nThis role may require travel, up to 25% of the time
nExport Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon's ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.
nThis position will be subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing if conducting safety sensitive functions as defined by the FAA. Federal law also requires Amazon to determine an applicant's DOT drug and/or alcohol testing history prior to hiring him/her into a position that would require them to conduct safety sensitive functions as defined by the FAA.
nBasic Qualifications
nnnHigh School diploma or equivalent
n
nnTravel up to 25% of the time
n
nnFAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
n
nnKnowledge of basic mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting
n
nnExperience working in a fast-paced, team environment
n
nnCan demonstrate strong attention to safety and ability to follow detailed procedures
n
n nPreferred Qualifications
nnnKnowledge of aviation terminology and regulations
n
nnExperience in warehouse or logistics
n
nnExperience in aviation, aerospace, or drone operations
n

nThe starting pay for this position is listed below, including the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential which applies depending on the shift you select. As a total compensation company, additional earnings may include shift differentials and overtime pay. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
