nThis requisition may be filled at the Level 2 or Level 3 (Principal) based on requirements listed below.
nNorthrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for Flight Simulation Trainer (Level 2) OR Principal Flight Simulation Trainer (Level 3) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL for the Product Support Group. Operating on our 9/80 schedule meaning you will get every other Friday off. The position is on site and there is no opportunity for remote or telework.
nEssential Functions:
n• Translates complex aircraft systems and flying procedures to develop detailed flight training curriculum content, including lesson plans, and exercises tailored to specific aircraft types and student skill levels.
n• Elicits software and hardware requirements through detailed analysis of technical data to meet customer requirements.
n• Leads cross-functional efforts on device functionality testing and the resolution of technical issues.
n• Performs product demonstrations of device functionality and capability in support of program milestones and incentives.
n• Collaborate with product trainers and engineering teams to provide input on curriculum design and device functionality based on external stakeholder training needs.
n• Troubleshoot training device issues with hardware and software engineers to resolve technical problems.
n• Test and validate training scenarios within aircrew training devices to ensure accuracy, realism and technical alignment with regulations and standards.
n• Conducts instructional sessions, briefings, follow-ups, and proficiency checks on flight simulators in accordance with federal air regulations and company policies and procedures.
n• Evaluates trainee progress and recommends qualification or additional training. Reviews simulator design and training effectiveness to provide maximum proficiency.
n• Coordinates utilization schedules for training flight crews and necessary engineering support.
n• Utilize Instructional Systems Design to solve complex learning and performance problems.
nBasic Qualifications for Flight Simulation Trainer Level 2:
nnnBachelor’s Degree and 2 years experience in training and development materials OR 0 Years with Master’s degree OR High School diploma/equivalent AND 6 years of relevant experience in training and development materials in lieu of completed 4 year degree.
n
nnRated Aircrew (Pilot, Navigator, Electronic Warfare Officer (EWO), Weapon System Officer (WSO), Naval Flight Officer (NFO)).

nnInstructor qualification within the past 10 years
n
nnProficient with Microsoft products
n
nnYour ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Top Secret clearance (must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.

n nBasic Qualifications for Principal Flight Simulation Trainer (Level 3):
nnnBachelor’s Degree and 5 years experience in training and development materials OR 3 Years with Master’s degree OR High School diploma/equivalent AND 9 years of relevant experience in training and development materials in lieu of completed 4 year degree.
n
nnRated Aircrew (Pilot, Navigator, Electronic Warfare Officer (EWO), Weapon System Officer (WSO), Naval Flight Officer (NFO)).
n
nnExperienced/ combat mission ready in one or more combat mission design series (MDS) or type/model/series (TMS) with A, F, or B designations
n
nnInstructor qualification within the past 10 years
n
nnProficient with Microsoft Office products
n
nnYour ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Top Secret clearance (must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.

nnExperience with Atlassian suite of cloud-based collaboration tools

nnExperience with Scaled Agile Framework
n
nnExperience with databases
n
nnExperience using courseware development tools

nnExperience with military courseware development

nnA current, active in-scope Government Secret clearance
n
nnB-1, B-2, or B-52 experience
n
nnInstructional System Design (ISD) education, training, and /or experience from an accredited institution, ACC ISD principles course, ACC classroom instructor course, training support squadron (TRSS) detachment experience

nPrimary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00
nSecondary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00
nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
