Job description

Position: Leasing Consultant - Floating to various properties

nCategory: Non-Exempt (Hourly)- Tues-Saturday

nSupervisor: Community Manager

nHours: Typical range of hours is based on the community needs and may require weekends and after hour emergency services. Workdays may be adjusted based on community needs. Full Time: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (average 40 hours).

nPhysical Demands: Light (occasional up to 25 pounds) - Climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, handle, etc.

nDrug Screens: Pre-employment, post injury, reasonable suspicion, and possible random screens.

nKnowledge / Skills / Ability:

nnAbility to evaluate and fulfill community common area and amenity needs, attention to detail and dedication to maintain the community

nAbility to independently establish priorities, manages time effectively, and fulfills assigned objectives and projects

nAbility to respond to and resolve unexpected problems and handle priority changes in a fast-moving, fluid environment

nDemonstrated proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and internet

nGood verbal and written communication skills, strong organization skills, and ability to work well with onsite staff, customers, supervisors, corporate office associates and vendors

nMust be able to effectively communicate, comprehend, speak, and read in English. Bi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply

nAbility to comprehend legal documents and carry out related rent collections and lease management

nIntermediate level math skills necessary to add, subtract, multiply, divide, decimals, fractions, and calculate percentages in order to complete financial records, budgets, and other fiscal reporting

nDemonstrated understanding of property operations with emphasis on lease terms and to support contract enforcement, including collections.

n nGeneral Summary of Associate Responsibility:

nnTo support and assist all aspects of the community operations, while reporting to and acting under the direction of the Community Manager.

n nPreferred Education and Experience:

nnA high school diploma or equivalent is required

nPrior sales experience preferred

n nSupervisory Responsibilities:

nnResidential Standards 1. Provides assistance by performing leasing duties to include:nnHandling residents’ calls

nTouring and leasing apartment homes

nParticipating in leasing trainings

nOther duties as assigned

nEnhancing Environments: * Champion the use of garden boxes and beehives within your community (if applicable), promoting a greener, more sustainable environment. * Roll up your sleeves and join us at our annual Impact Day, where we tackle community enhancement projects together.

nChanneling Resources: * Forge connections with vendors and potential partners, establishing communication channels to support our community's needs. * Keep your Program Coordinator in the loop by sharing relevant information and contact details for potential collaborations.

nBuilding Leaders: * Educate residents about the program and inspire their involvement as resident facilitators, empowering them to take on leadership roles. * Guide interested residents through the sign-up process, nurturing the next generation of community leaders.
