Overview
nScope of Responsibilities: Floats to assigned stores within the area to help cover Pharmacy Departments.Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy department. Assists in the training and development of subordinate staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies. Relies on experience and professional judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
nJob Summary: Responsible for the implementation and adherence to the Kinney Standard of Practice as it relates to the provision of the highest quality health care service to our customers
nResponsibilities
nJob Duties:
nnnFollows the Kinney Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions and counsel patients
n
nnPerforms all quality assurance steps to ensure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed. Reports dispensing incidents in a timely manner, in accordance with company guidelines
n
nnFollows all State and Federal guidelines governing the practice of Pharmacy
n
nnOversees the initial submission, resubmission and collection of all third party claims
n
nnManages and balances the pharmacy inventory to provide for maximum turns while still remaining in-stock for customer needs. Oversees the transmitting, processing and receiving of orders to and from the Kinney Warehouse and additional suppliers as needed
n
nnOversees the checking of pharmacy inventory for outdates and processing of all returns
n
nnEnsures prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelines
n
nnEnsures in-store pharmacy technology is being used to its fullest potential to allow for a maximum return on investment of the technology and life span
n
nnEnsure outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees at all times
n
nnEnsure all loss Prevention policies are followed by all employees and report deviations from said policies to Loss Prevention
n
nnAssist in the implementation of all corporate pharmacy marketing, advertising and promotional programs are fully executed and implemented
n
nnOversees the maintenance of the pharmacy department to ensure a clean and professional environment
n
nnMaintains and develops professional relationships with doctors and others in the health service professions
n
nnMaintains an awareness of developments in the Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrates them into own practice
n
nnMaintains confidentiality regarding all patient information
n
nnFacilitates communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel
n
nnAssists in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating the pharmacy within said guidelines
n
nnAssist in the training and development of all pharmacy department personnel, including use of the Kinney Pharmacy Clerk and Technician Training Program
n
nnInterface with various auditors and outside agencies, as needed
n
nnResponsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs
n
nnPerform other duties as assigned

n nQualifications
nEducation:
nnMinimum: BS or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy
n nSpecial Conditions of Employment
nnnDrug test
n
nnInitial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring
n
nnAny and all additional eligibility requirements based on the specific position
n
n nJob Requirements:
nnnPosses and maintain a valid State License and current registration to practice Pharmacy
n
nnAbility to stand/walk throughout majority of shift
n
nnSuccessful completion of a pre-employment and/or random drug screening test
n
nnCertified Immunizer
n
nnMust be able to travel between stores to cover within an assigned area as scheduled
n
n nJob Skills Required:

nnBasic keyboarding skill
n
n nCompensation:
n$125,000- $135,000 per year
nThe final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience and education.
