Floor Technician / HousekeeperOak Park OasisPart-Time PM (1pm-9pm) and Full-Time POC (11pm-7am)Position Summary: The Floor Technician performs routine floor care, including, but not limited to scrubbing, refinishing and buffing of floor surfaces. After initial training on the job, the employee is responsible for following standard procedures in maintaining an assigned area. Duties are performed under direct supervision and subject to inspection by the Director of Environmental Services. This is an overnight position.Responsibilities/Accountabilities:Maintains all floors, i.e., stripping, refinishing and daily maintenance of various floor types and surfacesEmpties trash as specified in workflowInsures that all entrance ways are clean and that they are maintainedFollows cleaning procedures in a safe mannerMaintains equipment in good working condition and returns it to the proper storage location after useSpecific Educational Vocational Requirements:High school degree or equivalent is preferredMust be able to read, write and understand EnglishJob Skills:Good physical condition in order to operate floor equipmentWorking knowledge of standard materials, techniques and equipment used in housekeeping activitiesAbility to follow oral and written instructionsAbility to positively interact with personnel, customers, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general publicBenefits:Medical, dental, and vision insurancePaid time offRetirement plan
