Job description
Floor Technician- 2nd ShiftThe Janitor/Floor Technician works in a team environment within the C&W Services Janitorial Department. The Janitor/Floor Technician is responsible for performing the day-to-day and periodic cleaning activities in assigned work areas. Basic responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, any combination of the following tasks: hard floor maintenance (including auto scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and burnishing), carpet maintenance (including spot removal, shampooing and extracting) and other janitorial activities as assigned.Responsibilities/Tasks/DutiesPerform daily and periodic tasks in assigned areas as directedPerform all cleaning assignments in accordance with C&W Services approved proceduresMaintain a neat and orderly work area, including janitorial closets and storage areasMaintain appropriate supply levels in assigned janitorial closets and storage areasEnsure assigned equipment and tools are keep clean and in good working conditionFollow all C&W Services safety procedures and promptly inform management of unsafe conditions in the work areaMeet all client and C&W Services quality expectations in assigned tasksAssist in orientation and training of new employees as directedAdhere to proper security proceduresNotify management of all equipment issues, service problems or opportunitiesPerform other cleaning-related duties as assignedRequirementsDrivers LicensePrevious experience performing floor maintenanceMust be able to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and to function cooperatively as part of a teamRequires attention to detail, a pride in delivering excellent service and high levels of energy and enduranceMust be able to consistently push and pull up to 75 pounds and lift up to 50 poundsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods of time and capable of extensive bending, stooping, stretching, pushing, and carryingAbility to work in an environment with exposure to dust, chemicals and loud noisesCushman & Wakefield also provides eligible employees with an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health, vision, and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life, and disability insurance programs, and paid and unpaid time away from work.
