Job description
Floor Care SpecialistMaintain all floor types/areas and maintain company standards of floor cleanliness, appearance, and sanitation.Essential Duties And Responsibilities:Essential duties and responsibilities include the following, (other duties may be assigned):Moves furniture before and after cleaning with care.Disposes of trash and assist with trash collectionOperates various types of equipment while donning adequate personal protective equipment (PPE).Measures chemicals correctly.Maintains chemicals, including labeling and dispensing correctly.Cleans and maintains all equipment in accordance with manufacture guidelines.Reports any maintenance issues to supervisor or manager.Demonstrates regular, predictable attendance at the job site orAssists with special projects and assume responsibility for the development, administration, and promotion of specific projects asCleans and maintains various floor surfaces. This includes carpet, wood, marble, vinyl, stone, tile, slate etc.Vacuums, shampoos, bonnets and extracts carpets/stairwells.Performs preventative maintenance checks on all equipment prior to use.Performs floor care, including routine mopping (dry and damp), buffing and burnishing on hard surface floors and stairwells.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively speak and understand English.Math Ability:Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in liquid units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.Reasoning Ability:Ability to solve practical problems related to the job. Ability to follow both written and oral instructions from managers and supervisors. Must be able to demonstrate correct use of chemicals, supplies and tools assigned. Must be able to operate mechanical equipment, once trained, and detect equipment malfunctions.Certificates And Licenses:No certifications needed.Supervisory Responsibilities:This job has no supervisory responsibilities.Work Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing essential functions of this job.
