Job description
Assist in the design and/or merchandising of floral items and arrangements for display/sale or in response to customer requests. Provide various customer services.Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
nRESPONSIBILITIES
nnnAssist and greet customers promptly and provide them with great service
n
nnBe prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions
n
nnHelp design and create floral arrangements and/or other items to fill customer orders
n
nnPackage orders effectively, safely and efficiently
n
nnKeep merchandise and supplies in their proper areas
n
nnMaintain customer records and files properly
n
nnAssist customers in location and selecting items
n
nnHandle telephone calls and orders promptly and courteously
n
nnAssist in decorating and merchandising the department
n
nnKeep carts, tools, and supplies in their designated areas and well organized
n
nnKeep floors, clean, safe, and free from clutter
n
nnMaintain plants, process and prepare flower arrangements and fill balloons
n
nnMaintain proper signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, quality and proper space allocation for merchandise
n
nnAdhere to company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws
n
nnOperate cash register in accordance with company procedures, as applicable
n
nnMaintain flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
n
nnMust be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
n
n nQUALIFICATIONS Minimum
nnnDemonstrates effective written and oral communication skills
n
nnAbility to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins
n
nnAbility to multitask, set priorities, present information in a professional manner and work with all levels of the organization
n
nnPersonal initiative and follow through to completion
n
nnAbility to work as part of a team in a fastpaced environment
n
nnPossess abilities and skills for effective production, merchandising, and customer services related to sale of merchandise
n
nnMust be able to work with various cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and carefully operate all production equipment
n
n nDesired
nnnPast work record reflects dependability and integrity.
n
nnKnowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices, and safety
n
nnExperience in grocery retail and customer service
n
nnExperience in operating a cash register and making change
n
n
