About the role
Recess Hotel & Club is seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our Food & Beverage leadership team and support the daily operations of our restaurants, bars, and event spaces. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional looking to advance their leadership career while gaining experience in a dynamic luxury hotel environment.
The Food & Beverage Supervisor will assist in leading daily service operations, supporting team development, maintaining service standards, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences across all Food & Beverage outlets. This position works closely with managers and frontline team members to drive operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and team engagement.
What you'll do
Supervise day-to-day service operations across assigned food and beverage outlets
Lead by example on the floor, providing active support during service periods
Ensure service standards, brand expectations, and safety guidelines are consistently met
Support staffing needs, including shift coverage, break compliance, and schedule adherence
Coach and develop team members through real-time feedback and ongoing training
Assist with onboarding and training of new hires
Address guest concerns professionally and resolve service issues in the moment
Partner with managers on service execution, menu knowledge, and operational flow
Monitor cleanliness, organization, and overall readiness of service areas
Support inventory controls, opening/closing procedures, and cash handling as needed
Qualifications
Previous experience in food and beverage or hospitality leadership preferred
Strong service mindset with a genuine interest in guest experience
Confident communicator who leads with clarity, warmth, and accountability
Working knowledge of POS systems and basic cash handling
Strong guest service instincts and the confidence to lead from the floor
Positive, approachable leadership style with the ability to coach and motivate others
Strong communication, organization, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to remain composed and engaged in a fast-paced service environment
Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and take on increasing responsibility
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
