Job description
Food Manufacturing TechnicianPay rate or salary range: $24.75/hr.Benefits include health, dental, and vision (following 60 days of employment)Employment type: ContractEst. end date: TBD Schedule: Day shift, Monday - FridayLocation: Redwood City, CA 94063Responsibilities:Prepare ingredients and create product samples with researchers based on batch records and bill of materials (BOMs)Prepare, cook, and serve product samples for sensory testingMaintain lab/kitchen equipment (e.g., pH meter calibration, cook equipment cleaning and/or maintenance)Manage ingredient and consumables inventory of the test kitchen by tracking current supply, submitting orders, and restocking suppliesDiscard expired, unused ingredients and consumablesMaintain regular communication with kitchen staff to coordinate inventory needsSubmit purchase orders (POs) and work with vendors to restock consumablesShip, receive, and organize ingredients, product samples, and equipmentDemonstrate excellent record keeping and accountabilityVoice ideas, concerns and solutions to teammates – if you see something, say somethingMaintain a clean, sanitary, organized and safe workplaceQualifications:Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required; a university degree in a science-related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.1-2+ years of industry experience in a lab, kitchen, or R&D settingProficiency using Google Workspace requiredCapability of working in a fast-paced, dynamic team effectively, including excellent communication and organization skillsPrecision, attention to detail, and efficient multitasking abilityA positive, motivated, and hardworking attitude with a genuine desire to be helpfulTekberry Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
