Salary: $120,000.00 USD Annually - $140,000.00 USD Annually
Description
Judge Direct Placement is seeking a Food Service Director responsible for driving sales and business growth throughout the Northeast region.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute foodservice sales strategies to achieve growth objectives.
Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive opportunities.
Build annual business plans, forecasts, and account growth strategies.
Provide leadership with recommendations on opportunities, risks, and market dynamics.
Manage relationships with key distributors, operators, and chain accounts.
Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and promotional programs.
Create customer growth plans that increase sales, profitability, and market share.
Conduct business reviews with customers and distribution partners.
Lead broker relationships to drive accountability and performance.
Establish broker goals and monitor results through regular reviews.
Partner with brokers and internal teams on account planning and execution.
Manage channel budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
Analyze profitability, pricing, market conditions, and promotional effectiveness.
Monitor commodity trends and communicate business impacts to stakeholders.
Manage trade spending and marketing investments to maximize ROI.
Maintain accountability for revenue, margin, and volume targets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support growth initiatives.
Support new product launches and commercialization activities.
Ensure operational excellence through coordination with customer service and finance teams.
Leverage market data and business intelligence to identify growth opportunities.
Track sales performance, customer trends, and competitive activity.
Prepare reports and recommendations for senior leadership.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required
10+ years sales experience with progressive leadership
5+ years experience in food sales management
Proven experience managing broker networks and key customer relationships.
Experience working with national and regional foodservice distributors.
Knowledge of dairy, cheese, butterfat, and commodity markets.
Strong negotiation, contract management, and relationship-building skills.
Demonstrated success leading cross-functional business initiatives.
Strong financial acumen with experience in forecasting, budgeting, and profitability analysis.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with CRM, TPM/TPO, and business intelligence systems preferred.
Familiarity with Circana, Nielsen, Technomic, Datassential, or similar market data platforms preferred.
