Join our dynamic team! We are looking for a Food Service Director (FSD) who will play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive high-quality meals that meet their nutritional needs and exceed their expectations.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate the efficient operation of the dietary department, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies
Prepare and serve resident meals within designated time schedules, temperature controls, and sanitary regulations
Supervise and evaluate meal preparation and resident acceptance, participating in Resident Menu Advisory Committee meetings
Purchase and ensure quality of all food supplies necessary for menu cycles
Maintain equipment needed for preparation and meal delivery service
Reconcile all purchase orders and invoices submitted for payment
In conjunction with a licensed dietitian, conduct in-service training of food service personnel in sanitation, food preparation, and food presentation
Communicate changes in dietary system to all dietary personnel
Assume the responsibility of hiring, training, discipline, and termination of food service personnel
Qualifications:
Current certification as a Food Service Supervisor
Four (4) years experience preferred with a minimum of two (2) years long-term care experience
A minimum of two (2) years previous leadership experience preferred
Demonstrates professional commitment to providing quality meals and food service
