Job description
Les Cheneaux Community Schools is seeking a dependable, organized, and enthusiastic Lead Cook/Food Service Director to oversee the daily operation of the school food service program.
Position Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious school meals.
Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen operations and staff.
Ensure compliance with state and federal school nutrition regulations.
Maintain food safety and sanitation standards.
Order food and supplies and manage inventory.
Complete required food service records and reports.
Develop menus that meet USDA school meal guidelines.
Foster a positive, welcoming environment for students and staff.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience in food service, commercial cooking, or school nutrition programs preferred.
Leadership or supervisory experience is desirable.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must meet all employment requirements established by Les Cheneaux Community Schools.
