Job description
FOOD SERVICE HELPER 10 -MONTH
SALARY:
$17.00 per hour
HOURS:
17.5hrs/week-School Days Only- (Mon. - Fri. 10:30am to 2:00pm)
LOCATION:
District Wide
START DATE:
November 4, 2026
DUTIES and QUALIFICATIONS:
Willing and able to start at 5:30am when needed
Train as a backup cook following USDA regulations — (**Pay differential when filling in for a cook**)
Have knowledge of safe food handling
Washing of pots & pans
Work in dish room
Minor Food Preparation
Any reasonable request assigned by the cook manager
Must be able to lift 40 pounds
Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
Must be able to understand, read and write and speak the English language proficiently
Must be a team player.
Experience is helpful, but not necessary
Must be fingerprinted through the NYS Department of Education (required for new employees)

**Uniform Allowance, Fingerprinting reimbursed after 1 year of employment, paid sick, personal and snow days.**
