5-day work week, work 1 Saturday every 4 weeks
Responsibilities:
Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies
Test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment; test drive vehicles to verify concerns and ensure proper repairs
Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
Communicate directly with the service advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Complete online multi-point inspection report
Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
Perform maintenance and repair work on a wide range of Fords as well as other makes and models
Communicate directly with the service advisors and/or management so that customers are informed of any repairs or service that is needed
Provide an estimate of time needed for initial and additional repairs
Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications. Complete all warranty documentation to factory standards, return warranty parts and cores per manufacturer
Coach and mentor less proficient technicians and apprentices to further their automotive knowledge
Requirements:
Ford certified & experienced
Are a fast learner
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Have excellent customer service skills
Are a team player
Are computer literate
Have a valid driver’s license
Qualifications:
Previous automatic and manual transmission repair experience at a Ford or medium-duty dealership
Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
