Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Commercial Foreman Electrician to lead electrical construction projects within the commercial sector. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on large-scale construction sites. Your expertise will ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with all relevant codes and regulations. As a leader on-site, you will manage teams of electricians, coordinate with project managers, and uphold the highest standards of quality and safety to drive project success from start to finish.
Responsibilities
Foreman will provide day-to-day supervision, scheduling and direction to electrical crews
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Coordinate and install conduit and cable tray systems
Organize and oversee large cable pulls
Install switchgear, transformers, distribution panels, and electrical equipment
Install fire alarm and control systems
Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements
Perform hands-on electrical work as needed
Electrical Foreman will coordinate with Superintendents and other trades on site
Requirements
Foreman-level electrical experience in commercial, industrial, or institutional construction
Strong leadership and crew management skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Experience with conduit installation, cable tray, switchgear, transformers, and distribution systems
Knowledge of electrical codes and jobsite safety practices
Class A Iowa Electrical License preferred - higher base pay
Per Diem offered to candidates who qualify
