Job description
Flooring Installation Foreman Baltimore, MDA specialty commercial flooring contractor is seeking a Working Foreman - Flooring Installation to support floor installations across a variety of project sites. This role is ideal for hands-on installers ready to take ownership of jobsite execution, crew coordination, and quality control.Core ResponsibilitiesPrepare floor surfaces prior to installation using shot-blast equipment, hand scraping tools, grinders, sanders, and vacuumsProtect work areas with tape, paper, or plastic; install termination strips as requiredMobilize materials and equipment to job sites using pallet jacks and proper lifting techniquesMix multi-component flooring systems, including liquid resins, liquid hardeners, and aggregatesApply liquid flooring materials using rollers, hand trowels, and specialty toolsPerform occasional wall applications using similar materials applied verticallyMaintain daily jobsite cleanliness, including disposal of waste and securing tools and materialsComply with all safety requirements, including use of PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators, and face shields when requiredExpectationsLead and manage a small crewCoordinate day-to-day onsite activities with customers and/or general contractorsManage installation schedule, workmanship quality, and production flowEnsure installations meet required specifications, standards, and safety protocolsServe as the primary onsite point of accountability for the projectWork EnvironmentProjects include existing facilities and newly constructed buildingsWork conditions vary by project and typically occur during the finishing stages of constructionPhysical RequirementsFrequent standing, kneeling, squatting, and crawling throughout the workdayFrequent lifting up to 40 lbs; occasional lifting of 50–75 lbsAbility to push, pull, and maneuver materials and equipmentEpoxy flooring installation routinely requires kneeling and crawling across large floor areas, ranging from several hundred to several thousand square feetWhat's OfferedCompany vehicle, gas card, cell phone, and tools/equipment for foreman-level rolesIdeal BackgroundPrior experience in epoxy, resinous, or specialty flooring installationExperience leading crews or acting as a working foreman preferredStrong understanding of surface preparation methods and flooring application techniquesReliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in physically demanding environments
