Job PostingThis is a non-professional position performing direct nursing care duties, transportation, and security, at an adult mentally ill forensic facility. Employees are subject to the volatility of psychiatric, forensic patients in a therapeutic inpatient hospital setting. Employees must use some independent judgment in the performance of this work. Error in many areas could cause negative consequences. This work requires skill in working with mentally ill patients, employees and the general public. Requires physical agility in order to respond to a variety of patient care and security related functions. Experience Forensic Security Assistant 8 No specific type or amount is required. Forensic Security Assistant 9 One year of experience equivalent to a Forensic Security Assistant 8. Forensic Security Assistant E10 Two years of Forensic Security Assistant experience including one year as a Forensic Security Assistant 9.Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certifications Eighteen years of age at time of employment. Willingness to submit to a thorough background investigation designed to measure the applicant's suitability for forensic security assistant work. Successful completion of required training. Possession of a valid driver's license.
