Forklift Operators/ Order PullerWelcome, North CarolinaJob Posting/Description Framework Job Title: Forklift Operator / Order Puller Employment Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire Location: Lexington, NC Pay: $18.00 per hour (DOE) Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (Mandatory Overtime as Needed) Job Summary: We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators / Order Pullers to join a leading lumber distribution company in Lexington, NC. This position is responsible for accurately pulling customer orders, operating material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse and lumber yard environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. Key Responsibilities:Pull lumber, building materials, and customer orders accurately according to load tickets and order specificationsOperate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficientlyLoad and unload trucks while preventing product damage and ensuring order accuracyAssist with inventory control and product organization throughout the warehouse and lumber yardMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areas at all timesPerform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance or safety concernsCommunicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding orders and inventoryFollow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and proper lifting techniquesWork both indoors and outdoors as required by operational needsRequired Qualifications:Previous forklift operation and warehouse experience requiredAbility to lift 50+ pounds consistently throughout the workdayExperience with inventory control and order fulfillment processesAbility to maintain warehouse cleanliness and organizationStrong work ethic with the ability to work under minimal supervisionTeam-oriented attitude and ability to work effectively in a close-knit team environmentMust be willing to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditionsClose-toe shoes requiredMust be available for mandatory overtime when neededMust meet background screening and drug screening requirementsPreferred Qualifications:Certified forklift operatorExperience in lumber, building materials, or distribution environmentsShipping and receiving experienceStrong attention to detail and order accuracyCore Competencies Forklift Operation, Order Pulling, Warehouse Operations, Inventory Control, Shipping & Receiving, Material Handling, Lumber Distribution, Safety Compliance, Teamwork, Organization, Time Management, Equipment Inspection, Customer Order Fulfillment, Attention to Detail Additional Benefits:Temp-to-Hire OpportunityExcellent Growth PotentialImmediate Start AvailableBenefits Available Upon HireLong-Term Career Opportunity
