It takes the imagination and passion of all of us—from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year—to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities.Job DescriptionEssential job function of the Forming Setup Operator is to monitor, operate, and maintain two (2) glass syringe forming machines in line with other equipment, inspection equipment, and ovens. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read, write and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.Primary responsibilities include:Operators have complete responsibility for their quality, production, waste, and machine workability/accountability.Responsible to monitor, operate, and maintain two (2) glass syringe forming machines.Understand and operate inspection & testing equipment.Responsible for identifying and correcting any dimensional defects and cosmetic defects according to current QC specifications, to insure good quality.Maintain equipment according to preventative maintenance schedule.Record accurate inspection data as required.Responsible to contribute to the continuous improvement of the process.Provide coaching and on the job training to peers as required, once signed off.Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.Deliverables:High-quality products produced per manufacturing documents.Accurate documentation.Qualifications and requirements:Minimum education:H.S, Diploma/GED - PreferredMinimum experience:5 years manufacturing experience required in lieu of HS Diploma/GED.2 years mechanical/technical experience.Use of measurement devices and quality records preferred.Minimum knowledge, skills, or abilities (KSA's):Computer skills - Basic or Simple KSAMechanical aptitude & trouble shooting skills - Proficient / Working KSADetail oriented skills - Basic or Simple KSATeam work skills - Basic or Simple KSACommunication skills - Basic or Simple KSAInterpersonal skills - Basic or Simple KSAMathematical skills - Proficient / Working KSAPhysical capacity profile: 3Why Join Us?To find purpose in the possibilities, we need people who can see the bigger picture, who understand the human story that underpins everything we do.
