The successful candidate will contribute to formulation strategy execution, conduct laboratory experiments, analyze and interpret data, and support innovation initiatives across multiple projects. Through hands-on laboratory work and collaboration with cross-functional teams, this role provides valuable experience in pharmaceutical sciences, drug delivery, formulation development, and product innovation.The primary responsibilities of this role are to:Execute formulation development strategy for assigned projects;Perform hands-on laboratory experiments and formulation development activities;Solve technical problems through the application of scientific knowledge and creative thinking;Conduct pre-formulation activities and material characterization of APIs and excipients;Conduct testing of physical attributes of formulation compositions, prototypes, and new products;Analyze and interpret data generated from testing and characterization activities and prepare summary reports;Support the formulation team through literature searches and technical reviews;Present project summaries to formulation and cross-functional teams;Write and review development plans and technical reports;Participate in and contribute to innovation activities;Interact regularly with members of the formulation team and other functional groups within the Development Center.Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:Required:Currently pursuing a master's or doctoral degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacy, Drug Delivery, Chemical Engineering, or a related field;Ability to commit to a six-month Co-op assignment;Ability to work accurately and efficiently on multiple projects under aggressive timelines;Strong computer and digital skills, including Microsoft Office applications, DOE software, modeling, and simulation tools;Strong written and verbal communication skills;Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn;Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box.Preferred:Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) and data analysis;Hands-on laboratory experience in a research or development environment.Employees can expect to be paid an hourly rate of approximately between $22.75 to $47.75. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits may include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. (if relevant).
