Position: Foster Parent Recruiter Contractual
Status: Contractual
Position: Services Saginaw County
Applicant must live in Michigan
Position is remote and contractual with a contracted rate of $25.00 per hour.
The Ennis Center for Children has been in operation since 1978 and has helped numerous children throughout the state of Michigan! This is a professional position that coordinates the scheduling, staffing and facilitation of all recruitment events required by contract. Shall coordinate or provide service in accordance with the requirements of the contract, State, and Federal regulatory and/or other accrediting agencies.
Qualifications (required at time of offer):
Must have a minimum of one-year relevant experience in foster home recruitment
Experience as a foster parent or relevant experience in child welfare.
Experience speaking to large groups.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Reliable transportation.
Satisfactory completion of all employment eligibility and Agency hiring requirements.
Responsibilities (illustrative and not intended as inclusive; specific responsibilities may vary): Collaborate with the local MDHHS office, faith-based communities and key foster/adoptive/kinship parents implement recruitment services prepared by the county office to meet the county's overall recruitment needs, goals, and the actions steps.
Collaborate with community partners including faith-based organizations, federally recognized tribes, LGBTQIA+ community. Schools, hospitals, and other community-based stakeholders interested in supporting foster/adoptive family recruitment that reflects the diversity of their community.
Send contact information for prospective foster and adoptive parents to the appropriate local county office or statewide recruitment telephone number as appropriate.
Utilize recruitment material produced and/or approved by MDHHS External Affairs and Communication Administration.
Participate in committees, meetings and advisory councils as deemed necessary by MDHHS.
Present and distribute information on the foster home licensing process at civic clubs, organizations churches, and community events.
Input and maintain contact information in the appropriate county recruitment outcome tracking spreadsheet.
Maintains a flexible work schedule.
All other duties as assigned.

Actively participates in training, staff meetings, and Agency activities as required.
Participates in special projects or additional assignments as required.

Maintains as confidential all matters related to Agency affairs and refrains from internal and external discussions related to any employee, consumer, financial, or administrative issue except as required as part of job performance.
